“peace: it does not mean to be in a place where there is no noise, trouble, or hard work. it means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart.” — unknown
good morning sweet bloggers,
just a quick post. this is good and i want to share. i immediately loved this quote when i saw this on someone’s blog last night, so i added it to my bloggy quote collection at the top of my blog.
thank you to those of you who left such kind comments in yesterday’s hurting post. writing things out (and or talking them out with a soul i trust) always seems to bring a sense of peace to me. it doesn’t matter if it is challenging stuff or fun stuff, it always seems to feel good to me to put words to it.
peace today.
trying to find a sense of calm, kathleen

A wonderful quote Kathleen…my prayers will be with you and your sweet daughter.
One more tiny story to help you back to the light … or at least to humor.
Many years ago I was a teachers aide at a school for profoundly mentally handicapped adult students. I got into a bit of a tiff with a student when he didn’t want to return to his original spot in line, and because he had the “mongoloid” tongue, I couldn’t understand a word of his explanation as to why he wanted to be elsewhere in line. I wasn’t very tolerant and I insisted that he return to his spot, his temper flared, and he RAN OUT INTO THE STREET! The whole school erupted in turmoil. The students remained in the halls, a contingent of teachers ran after him while a contingent of teachers remained behind … and I was quickly steeped in INFAMY.
Oh. My. Gosh.
It was one of those moments when NO one was going to be able to say ANYTHING that was going to make it better.
But a co worker quickly shifted my mood to light as he walked by … a quick glance and a smile as he said:
Men. You can’t live with ‘em. You can’t kill ‘em.
Hi Kathleen, sorry to hear about your daughter.I wish all of you strength in working through all of this.Still, its great to come by and see that you are feeling peace today…may it last and last, my friend.Keep the feeling,or as they say…’hold that thought’ !
